Design and all things considered is such an interesting topic for me that I just had to dedicate some more space on the web for it. Depending on my mood, I will sometimes look around and see design everywhere and am amazed at the cleverness in design for some objects as well as "experiences." Other times I look and can not see original design - only cheap copies or what appears to be the lack of any thought to making a beautiful object or place.
Today I was enamored by the products made by BONT (bont.com), an Australian company that designs and sells inline skates as well as other products. They specialize in the high performance rather than the recreational products (although they have those too). When you look at the VAYPOR racing skate you see that it screams speed and technology. Nothing but carbon fiber and magnesium.
